Pearson Test of English Academic Recognized by Texas Christian University For Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions of International Students

Texas Christian University (TCU) announced today that it will recognize Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic), the company's computer-based English language test that measures the English language proficiency of candidates for admission who are non-native English speakers. PTE Academic will be accepted by both TCU's undergraduate school and graduate school of business for international students applying for admission to the university.

AAFCS Member Receives Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award

Kendra Naef, CFCS, a family and consumer sciences teacher from Kimberly High School, Kimberly, Wisconsin, and a member of the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) has received the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award. In addition to professional recognition, Ms. Naef will receive an unrestricted cash award of $25,000. Forty-eight states and the District of Columbia participated in the award competition this year.

First awarded in 1987, the Milken National Educator Award has recognized over 2,100 outstanding kindergarten-through-12th-grade educators. Up to 100 educators could be selected for 2005-2006 Milken Awards.

Mississippi's Aqua Yacht Harbor Marina Gives Two Critical Docks a Facelift

Aqua Yacht Harbor, a Flagship Marina facility, located on the shores of popular Pickwick Lake in Luka, MS, has recently completely large-scale renovations on its C- and D-Docks, adding thoughtful amenities for visiting boaters and slipholders.

Aqua Yacht Harbor is the largest full service marina on beautiful Pickwick Lake in Mississippi.

Chris Gaughan, President of the Indianapolis, IN-headquartered Floating Docks Manufacturing, the company contracted to complete the project, explained that the new docks were constructed of box-truss galvanized frames with encapsulated flotation materials.
