Bay Partners Adds Richard Gorman to Investment Team -- New Hire to Focus on Software
Richard Gorman has joined Bay Partners as a member of its investment team. The recent hire adds to Bay’s domain expertise and resources for early-stage software, consumer Internet, semiconductor and wireless investments. As Bay’s new team member, Richard will identify and lead software investment opportunities for the firm.
Richard Gorman joins Bay as Venture Partner with a focus on consumer and business software and open source software. Most recently, Richard was Senior Vice President of Products with Siebel Systems, where he drove product direction, strategy, and execution for over $1 billion in products, and integrated and managed five acquisitions of innovative software companies. He also served in senior management roles at Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems and Borland. Richard has been involved in a number of startups, including Ansa Software (developers of Paradox) which was acquired by Borland. Richard holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master’s degree in management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
