The Ohlone Wind Orchestra announces its Fall Concert on Sunday October 9th, 2005, 2:00 pm at the Gary Soren Smith Center for the Fine and Performing Arts at Ohlone College in Fremont, CA.
The concert will feature Jack Stamp's new suite "Bandancing", Gordon Jacob's "Old Wine in New Bottles" and the incredible "Symphony #2" by Frank Ticheli.
Additionally, the concert will also feature the work of local composer Craig Bohmler "Los Gatos Fanfare." Other works will include Wagner's "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral" and John Williams' music from the film "Catch Me If You Can."

Rungreen.com has announced the winners of its very first photo contest.
The contest was launched in February to allow proud parents of both children and tractors to show off their best photos- with their green and yellow, of course. Voters were allowed to choose their favorites, and these were put into a "playoff mode", and voting reopened. A surprising number of pictures were entered, with the site finally cutting off new entries after sorting through hundreds.
Among the entries were "The John Deere Car", John Deere tattoos, and even John Deere pets. There is no end to the lengths that the green-and-yellow crazy will go to collect, own, and discuss their piece of Americana.

Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) has signed a multi-million dollar contract with Cathay Pacific Airways to host the airline’s core business applications. The contract is for three years, with an option to extend for another two. Unisys will move Cathay’s reservations, departure control, and cargo platforms to the Unisys data center in Rhodes, just west of Sydney.
“Cathay chose Unisys because of its technical expertise, its deep experience in the airline industry, its competitive pricing and a low-risk migration plan for moving our systems,” said Anthony Yeung, general manager, Information Management, Cathay Pacific. “We needed to be assured of high availability for these critical systems as well as having sufficient flexibility to cater for growth and fluctuations in demand.”
